Natalie has been with Mandai since 2005, working across different parks and gaining extensive experience with a wide variety of species, including domestic animals, reptiles, nocturnal creatures, and marine mammals like sea lions. She is certified by both the IAABC (ADT) and AVS (ACDT), specializing in addressing complex behavioural issues such as fearful avoidance, aggression, and separation anxiety in rescue dogs and cats. As the Manager of Animal Behaviour and Programmes, Natalie brings her expertise and passion for animal welfare to every aspect of her work, continuously shaping the future of animal behaviour care in Singapore.

Deputy CEO Life Sciences & Operations
Dr. Cheng Wen-Haur is the deputy CEO and chief life sciences officer at Mandai Wildlife Group, which oversees Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Bird Paradise, and River Wonders. Today, Dr. Cheng oversees operations across Mandai's four parks, with responsibilities including animal welfare, conservation efforts, and educational initiatives. Under his leadership, the parks care for around 15,000 animals, while also contributing to global biodiversity conservation. Dr. Cheng has emphasized the importance of reconnecting people with nature, especially in Southeast Asia, where rapid growth poses a significant threat to wildlife. He views the work of Mandai as critical in contributing to saving species at risk in the region.

VP Animal Behaviour & Programmes
Gail earned a Masters Degree in Behavioral Science from California State University. Through her consulting company, Active Environments, she has been an animal trainer, behaviorist, and workshop instructor for over 30 years, working with zoos, aquariums, sanctuaries, rescue centers, and research facilities internationally to enhance the care and welfare of animals in human care. She currently leads the Animal Behaviour and Progammes department at Mandai Wildlife Group, overseeing the care, welfare, and training of a wide array of animals. She is co-author of the book, Animal Training, Enrichment, and Problem Solving: Enhancing Animal Welfare Through Behavioral Management, written “to encourage an appreciation for the richness of animal behavior and the challenge of making life the best it can be for the animals we have the pleasure and privilege to work with.”
